MCP

Ask your AI assistant, answered with Clarity's data

Add Clarity to Claude, Cursor or any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and it can look up any UK area, search for places that fit a budget, and check a deal at a given price, using the same figures as our map and reports.

At a glance

  • Works with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients.
  • Each answer is paid per call in USDC from a wallet you choose, under a spending limit you set. No account and no subscription.
  • District LS6 is free on every tool, so you can try it before adding a wallet.
  • England, Wales and Scotland. Every answer says how old its figures are and which public body published them.

What you can ask

Once it is added, ask in plain English. Your assistant picks the tool and shows you what it cost.

Tools
Ask something likeToolPrice
Is there a covered area near Hull? What do the tools cost?list_coverageFree
What are rents, yields and crime like in LS6?get_district$0.10
Find buy-to-let areas under £150,000 yielding 6% near Manchester.search_places$0.25
Does a £180,000 flat in M14 5RX work with a 25% deposit and £60,000 cash?check_deal$0.50
What have I spent this session?spending_statusFree

A search nothing matches, an uncovered postcode or a bad request is refused before payment, so you never pay for an error.

Add it to your assistant

For Claude Desktop, add this to claude_desktop_config.json and restart:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "clarity": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "@claritypropertyinvestmentsorg/property-mcp"
      ],
      "env": {
        "CLARITY_WALLET_KEY": "0x...",
        "CLARITY_MAX_SPEND_USD": "5"
      }
    }
  }
}

For Claude Code, run:

claude mcp add clarity --env CLARITY_WALLET_KEY=0x... -- npx -y @claritypropertyinvestmentsorg/property-mcp

Other MCP clients take the same command: npx -y @claritypropertyinvestmentsorg/property-mcp. The package is @claritypropertyinvestmentsorg/property-mcp on npm, and it is listed in the official MCP Registry as com.claritypropertyinvestments/property.

Paying for answers

Without a wallet the free tools work and the paid ones tell you their price. To pay, put the private key of a wallet holding a few dollars of USDC on the Base network in CLARITY_WALLET_KEY. Use a wallet made for this, not your main one. It needs no ETH, and the key never leaves your computer.

Your assistant decides which tools to call, so two limits protect you: CLARITY_MAX_SPEND_USD caps a session (default $5) and CLARITY_MAX_PRICE_USD caps any single call (default $1). Payments are made on Base only, settled only after the answer arrives, and are not refundable.

Building your own software

The tools sit on a plain HTTP API you can call from any program that pays over x402. Ask without paying and it answers HTTP 402 with the price, the asset (USDC), the network (Base) and the address; sign a payment for exactly that and send the request again with a PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header.

curl "https://claritypropertyinvestments.com/api/v1/deal?district=LS6&price=200000&cash=70000"

Every parameter is in the OpenAPI document, and GET /api/v1/districts lists every covered district and the payment details, free.

What the figures are, and are not

The figures are Clarity's ranking dataset and location reports, rebuilt monthly from public sources, each credited in the answer. A deal check models a purchase at a price in an area; it is not a valuation or a survey of any property. Everything here is research, not regulated financial or mortgage advice. Use is subject to our terms.
